I jakt på de godaste höstråna så pressar getterna sina huvuden så långt de kan genom rutorna på gallret på deras höhäck. Detta leder tyvärr till att mina stackars älsklingar blir alldeles kala på nosryggarna.

Jag är nu därför inne på att överge rutnätet och använda vanligt vertikalt galler istället. Jag inser att det kommer att bli mer spill, men hellre det än att mina bebisar fortsätter att skada sina nosryggar.

In search of the best straws of hay the goats press their heads as far as they can through the squares of the grid on their feeder. Unfortunately, this has caused my poor sweethearts to become bald on the bridges of their noses.

Therefore I am now contemplating abandoning the grid and use regular vertical bars instead. I realise that will lead to more waste, but I’d prefer that over my babies continuing to harm the bridges of their noses.
